In a scary incident, a five-year-old four-storey building in Bengaluru’s Hebbal area tilted creating panic among the residents.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) authorities immediately visited the spot and vacated the residents of the tilted building in Hebbal-Kempapura’s G Ramaiah Layout and also asked to vacate the buildings around it.

According to the BBMP officials, the building has extra floors that were constructed without prior permission and hence, the load of those extra floors made the whole structure tilt.

Bengaluru police have taken the building owner into custody.

The building had few paying guests and one family residing, all of whom were asked to move out. No one was injured in the incident.

BBMP officers on Wednesday started the process of demolishing the illegal structure.
