Mumbai: Markets ended larger on Friday led by home beneficial properties and optimistic world cues.
The BSE Sensex jumped 199.32 factors or 0.63 per cent to shut at 31,642.70. However, the NSE Nifty rose 52.45 factors, or 0.57 per cent, to settle at 9,251.50.
Prime gainers within the Sensex pack have been HUL, Nestle, Tech Mahindra, Solar Pharma, RIL, Ultrachem, Kotak Financial institution, Infosys, HCL Tech, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Financial institution and Bharti Airtel, rising upto 4.81 p.c. However, main losers have been M&M, Axis Financial institution, NTPC, IndusInd Financial institution, SBI, Maruti, Titan, Heromoto Corp, Bajaj Finance, ITC, Powergrid and Tata Metal, falling upto 3.87 p.c.
Within the earlier session on Thursday, the BSE Sensex falling 242.37 factors or 0.76 per cent to shut at 31,443.38. The broader NSE Nifty slipped 71.85 factors, or 0.78 per cent, to 9,199.05.
